For an efficient mount, drop ceiling brackets are made in two sections to minimize disruption to ceiling tiles. An upper mounting plate has two arms that project downward. This is designed so drop ceiling signs can attach to a ceiling beam above the false ceiling. A bracket with corresponding arms projecting upward from the sign meets just above the ceiling tiles.
