How to Use Worm Castings
Using worm castings is similar to incorporating compost or fertilizer into your soil. For indoor potted plants, mix worm castings directly in with the soil or use it as a top dressing that will gradually soak down to the roots. Reapply every 2-3 months. For gardens, incorporate a 1-4" layer of castings into the surface of the soil. It can also be used in the bottom of the hole for transplants and seedlings, used to start seeds in indoor containers, or added to established flowerbeds and roses. From lawns, to fruit trees, to compost piles there's virtually no garden project that can't benefit from worm castings!
