Succulent Kokedama Japanese Moss Ball Planter - Hooks & Lattice
Kokedama Moss Ball Kit for Succulents
About Japanese Moss Ball Planters
Looking for a fun gift idea, or a mini garden project for yourself? These kokedama moss ball kits are just the thing to bring a bit of greenery to your patio. Hang them as string gardens or put a dish underneath for display on ledges, platforms, and tables. Kokedama, which translates to "moss ball", is sometimes referred to as the "poor man's bonsai". This method of wrapping plants in green mossy spheres dates back to around 1600 AD in the Edo era in Japan. This particular kit is perfect for succulents, but can be used with other plants, if desired.
Our kits include:
- 6" kokedama
- Preserved mosses.
Love Japanese Moss Gardens?
If you love the look of Japanese moss gardens but don't have the room to grow acres of lush moss, these kokedama kits are perfect for you. Featuring bright green preserved moss, each of these planters allows you to create miniature moss gardens that can be suspended from hooks, overhead beams, or railings - or, place the planter on a saucer and use them indoors or on the patio table.
To water, simply submerge the moss ball planter in water for 10-25 minutes, or until it's completely saturated. Allow all excess water to drain before returning to its usual location. If planting succulents, be sure to keep them in a well-lit area. Succulents are drought tolerant, requiring little water and care.
