Our modern cement planter boxes give you all the aesthetic allure of authentic stone planters combined with the highly sought after ease of use that modern materials can provide. Each precast planter looks just like a natural stone piece, affording you all the organic beauty that has been valued over the years. Each also has the unique, slightly rough feel of natural stone. So what's the difference? These innovative planter boxes are actually made from a combination of cement and fiberglass, a material called Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete.

In the molding process, chopped fiberglass strands are mixed in with the concrete, giving it a significant flexural strength that excels above pure stone. Because of their fiberglass content these planters are only 1/4 the weight of cement alone (about 2/3 more weight than a similar product in fiberglass alone), allowing you the ability to reposition them much more easily than a bulky stone piece. They also are a great deal more durable than cement, which has the tendency to crack when faced with time and the elements. You won't ever have to worry about replacing your GFRC planters because they will never crack, warp, crumble, or rot. Perfect for any outdoor application!

GFRC vs. Fiberstone - Finding the right material for your application.

What is GFRC?
Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement (GFRC) is a cement composite material that is composed of high-quality cement, glass fibers and other resins to increase strength and durability. GFRC planters look and feel exactly like conventional concrete, cement or stone but are much lighter weight - about 75% less! Additionally, GFRC is a less expensive material than Fiberstone.

What is Fiberstone?
Fiberstone looks identical to GFRC and weighs even less. Weighing in at around 1/3 the weight of GFRC, our Fiberstone is a fraction of the weight of cement, concrete and stone. We combine glass fiber, industrial resins and other composites to create this unique material. Its high impact resistance makes it ideal for use in busy public areas and commercial settings.
