You can fit about 11.3 dry quarts of soil in the 16" length, while the 24" comes in at 18.3 dry quarts of soil capacity. Countryside Railing Planter
I now have 8 of these railing planters and am so very impressed with how stable that are straddling my 4 inch railing. Mine are black and they compliment the cedar siding of my house and other colors of ceramic planters on the deck. Comparing them to others I have used they seem well constructed and an overall upgrade.
